1)Confronts (verb) 

Meaning:- come face to face with (someone) with hostile or argumentative intent.

Synonyms:- accost, defy, encounter

Antonyms:- avoid, dodge

2)Unsubstantiated (adjective)

Meaning:- not supported or proven by evidence.

Synonyms:- debatable, dubious, unsupported

Antonyms:- certain, sure

3)Mercenaries (noun)

Meaning:- a professional soldier hired to serve in a foreign army.
